The temperature in Vermont during the month of October is typically comfortable yet chilly during the day, and cold at night. We will provide blankets during the ceremony but recommend that guests bring jackets for the evening portion of the wedding as the temperature will dip significantly when the sun goes down. If it rains, we will move the ceremony indoors at a barn down the road so that folks don't get wet and cold. The reception will be held under a tent with heaters.

We have secured a limited number of rooms under the Smith-Magnusson Wedding room block at the Equinox and the Hampton Inn. There are several other inns and motels in the area that we have provided links to on our "Lodging" page. Regardless of where you choose to stay, we encourage everyone to book early as rooms in Manchester fill up quickly during foliage.
